SEMINAR ON OVERVIEW OF SEMICONDUCTOR MANUFACTURING
[Vietnam, November 7, 2024] At the BK Smart Tech Office – Hanoi University of Science and Technology, part of the National Innovation Center (NIC) in Hoa Lac High-Tech Park, Hanoi, the seminar “Overview of Semiconductor Manufacturing” was successfully held.
The event attracted a large gathering of industry experts, representatives from domestic and international electronics and semiconductor manufacturing companies. Organized by INTECH Group in collaboration with NIC, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and DNN Technology from Taiwan, the seminar aimed to enhance local semiconductor production capabilities, advancing Vietnam’s journey towards self-reliance and positioning it as a key player in the global semiconductor supply chain.
Vietnam Government Commits to Semiconductor Industry Growth
“In today’s event, we reaffirm our ambition to position Vietnam in the global semiconductor supply chain,” said Mr. Vo Xuan Hoai, Deputy Director of NIC. With Decision No. 791/QD-TTg, the government formed a national committee to deepen global integration. NIC supports this through workforce development, innovation, and collaboration, urging firms like INTECH and DNN to actively engage.
SEMI Expo Showcases Global Semiconductor Engagement
Held alongside SEMI Expo Vietnam 2024, the seminar welcomed major players like Global Foundries, Amkor, AMD, and Intel. The exhibition enabled local businesses to connect with global investors, strengthening Vietnam’s role in the global supply chain and fostering lasting partnerships.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Pham Duy Linh highlighted the critical role of talent development in meeting semiconductor industry demands. Hanoi University of Science and Technology provides top-tier programs and internships to equip students with globally competitive skills.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai from INTECH stressed the equal importance of facilities and auxiliary systems in semiconductor manufacturing. With expertise in Class 1 cleanroom design and over 300 electronics sector projects, INTECH demonstrates Vietnam’s readiness for high-tech infrastructure.
