Hsinchu AI Data Center Groundbreaking - DNN Technology and Superdigital Advance Enterprise AI Infrastructure
DNN Technology and Superdigital held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new AI data center at their Hsinchu office, marking the next phase of their AI infrastructure strategy.
The new facility will feature server rack architecture co-developed with Supermicro and AMD, with completion targeted for late 2026. It will also provide enterprise-grade AI compute leasing services to the Taiwan market.
A One-Stop AI Infrastructure Platform: From Edge Computing to Cloud Compute
As demand for AI servers and data centers in Taiwan continues to grow rapidly, enterprises increasingly need flexible, agile AI deployment environments.
The new Hsinchu data center is designed to serve as a unified compute backbone for DNN and Superdigital’s three core product lines, integrating AI compute, data storage, and software services into a single platform. From edge AI inference on the factory floor, to on-premise server deployments, to cloud-based compute leasing, the facility forms one continuous technology chain rather than a set of disconnected, siloed systems.
Built on Supermicro and AMD Server Architecture
Rather than adopting a single standardized configuration, the Hsinchu data center’s server rack setup was custom-developed by the DNN team in collaboration with Supermicro and AMD.
Compared to off-the-shelf hardware, this custom-engineered approach allows the rack configuration to more closely match the actual AI workloads it needs to support — whether edge inference, model training, or high-concurrency compute leasing — with different rack specifications flexibly deployed as needed, rather than being constrained by the compute density and expansion limits of a single fixed spec.
Three Product Lines, One Shared Infrastructure
DNN EdgeAI+: An edge AI solution built for manufacturing, capable of monitoring production parameters in real time. When it detects anomalies or identifies opportunities for optimization, the system proactively recommends adjustments and can automatically control machinery — forming a self-contained closed-loop control system. Real-world deployment cases show production efficiency gains of up to 50%.
Superdigital: A fully on-premise solution spanning servers to software, handling document collaboration, meeting records, email, and data management entirely within a company’s own infrastructure — with no need to hand sensitive data to third-party cloud providers.
This has also become the most frequently requested capability among customers recently, reflecting growing enterprise concern over data sovereignty. The Hsinchu data center further strengthens the stability and scalability of Superdigital’s on-premise compute capacity.
SuperCard: An AI-powered business card management system designed for enterprise sales teams. The moment a card is scanned, the system automatically pulls up the contact’s company information and syncs it to the CRM backend — letting sales teams understand a prospect’s background and deepen the conversation on the spot, without waiting to sort through cards back at the office. The compute resources behind SuperCard’s cloud services are likewise powered by the Hsinchu data center.
Enterprise AI Compute Leasing: An Alternative to Building Your Own Data Center
Beyond supporting DNN’s own product lines, the Hsinchu data center will also offer AI compute leasing services to outside enterprises. For Taiwanese businesses, building an in-house data center involves substantial capital investment and long-term operational overhead.
Through a leasing model, companies can flexibly draw on compute resources according to actual project needs — avoiding upfront costs such as land acquisition, power infrastructure applications, and hardware depreciation — while still benefiting from the performance and stability of a custom-built rack architecture.
Taiwan's AI Infrastructure Footprint Continues to Expand
As the heart of Taiwan’s semiconductor and precision manufacturing cluster, Hsinchu is home to a dense concentration of manufacturers highly attuned to production efficiency and data security — precisely the core customer base DNN EdgeAI+ targets. Superdigital’s on-premise, data-sovereign positioning, meanwhile, speaks to a broader segment of mid-to-large Taiwanese enterprises that remain cautious about relying solely on public cloud services.
Locating the data center within this industrial cluster allows the team to serve existing customers locally, speed up deployment and support response times, and reduce the latency and risk associated with remotely dispatched compute resources. This — rather than cost or land considerations alone — is the key reason Hsinchu was chosen as the site.
Global AI Server Demand Keeps Rising
Industry research estimates that the global AI server market could grow at a compound annual growth rate exceeding 30% over the coming decade, with the potential to expand more than tenfold in market size. At the same time, international cloud providers including AWS, Google, and Meta have been establishing or evaluating data center operations in Taiwan in recent years — a sign that Taiwan’s role in the global AI compute supply chain is expanding beyond hardware manufacturing into infrastructure services themselves.
By breaking ground on this data center in Hsinchu now, DNN Technology and Superdigital are positioning themselves early for this industry shift — from a hardware advantage toward infrastructure services. As more Taiwanese enterprises seek to adopt AI without necessarily having the resources or technical expertise to build their own data centers, local, trusted AI infrastructure providers are set to play an increasingly critical role.
Expected Launch: 2026
The Hsinchu AI data center is currently under construction, with an official launch targeted for later in 2026. DNN Technology and Superdigital say they will continue to share updates on construction progress, technical specifications, and the launch timeline through their official channels.
